Refund policy

Effective May 2026. This policy meets the Lipa na M-Pesa Online (Daraja) merchant requirements set by Safaricom PLC.

1. Studio deposits

A Studio build is a custom project, quoted per build (most land between KES 40,000 and KES 240,000). You pay a deposit to start and the balance on delivery; the exact amounts are set out in your written quote. The following applies:

  • Within 48 hours of paying the deposit and before the kickoff call: full refund of the deposit, no questions asked.
  • After the kickoff call and before sign-off on scope: we refund the deposit less a 10% scoping fee that covers the time invested.
  • After scope is signed off: the deposit becomes non-refundable because we have committed engineering time to your build. If we fail to deliver to the agreed scope, you are entitled to a full refund.
  • The balance is due on delivery and is paid only after you have signed off the final build. No refunds on the balance once paid.

2. Grow engagement

Grow commercial terms are scoped per engagement and set out in your individual Grow agreement. Any fees for work already delivered are non-refundable. You may exit an ongoing engagement with 30 days' notice; future work will not be charged.

2a. Research

Research is scoped and paid before the work begins. Once the agreed research has been delivered, the fee is non-refundable. If we fail to deliver the agreed scope, you are entitled to a full refund.

3. How to request a refund

Email hello@angaze.co with:

  • Your M-Pesa receipt number
  • The phone number used to pay
  • A short reason for the refund

We confirm receipt within one working day and process eligible refunds within 7 working days back to the originating M-Pesa number. We do not refund to a different number or to a bank account.

4. Failed or disputed M-Pesa transactions

If your phone shows a successful M-Pesa transaction but our system did not register the order, contact us immediately at hello@angaze.co with the M-Pesa SMS receipt. We reconcile within one working day.

5. Chargebacks

Because M-Pesa STK push requires you to enter your own PIN, every transaction is treated as authorised by you. Disputed transactions are resolved through Safaricom's standard reversal process.
