Common questions.
When does Stack launch?
The first 50 Nairobi merchants get access within 6 weeks. We are running it as a closed beta with personal onboarding via WhatsApp. Public launch follows in week 12.
Do I need to have a website already?
No. Stack creates your storefront. You can use a custom domain later, but the free Stack URL works out of the box.
Does Stack take a cut of my sales?
The paid tier adds a 1% fee per paid transaction. Free tier has no cut. Money always lands directly in your Paybill or Till, never in our account.
What if I already have a Shopify or WooCommerce site?
You can use Stack alongside what you have, or migrate fully. Our team will help with both, for free during the closed beta.
What if I don't have a Paybill or Till?
Stack works with a personal M-Pesa number on the Free tier. The paid tier needs a Paybill or Till. We help you apply during onboarding; it usually takes 3 to 5 working days.
How is this different from IntaSend, Pesapal, or Flutterwave?
Those are payment processors. We are a commerce operating system. Payments are one feature among many. We hand the payment off directly to Safaricom via Daraja, no aggregator markup.
